VAD MOBILE COMPATIBILITY

The following is a list of VAG vehicles that VAD Mobile will communicate with; both from the North American and European Markets. If your vehicle does not appear on the list, it may still be compatible. Please contact us if you require further clarification.

OBD-I (1990-1996)

OBD-I vehicles use an older diagnostic connection known as the 2X2 adapter. This adapter has two small rectangular connection plugs, colored white and black. VAD Mobile does not include a 2X2 adapter in its standard kit offering, but one can be purchased for an additional $39.00.

OBD-II vehicles use the industry standard 16-pin connector includes with all VAD Mobile packages. There is no need for a 2x2 adapter cable to complete the vehicle connection.
